Who Am I?

I'am Paloma Martínez, I'm 20 years old. I was born in San Vicente de Tagua Tagua.

For me, getting into university was difficult, I have dyslexia and they're things that I find difficult to understand. But, here I am studying Theatrical Design at the Univeridad de Chile.

About my family, i live with my mom, she is chef and she has a cafeteria. I have an older brother, Dante, he is 24 years old. He is a musician and won a scholarship in "Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofia" in Spain. Also, i have a two little sisters, Vittoria is 16 years old. Vittoria is very smart, she loves painting. And Alma is 8 years old. She is a very good lector. 

My hobbies are dance, but I don't have space in my house to practice and drawing, I do it whenever I can. Tt also helps me in my career.

    Hi Paloma, yes it's difficult to get into university, but with perseverance and determination you can achieve everything and more. From what I can read your family is a family of artists, how nice and curious at the same time. And you draw quite well.

      Yes! my two uncles are artists and my grandmother was an art teacher and sculptor restorer.

    Hi Paloma! I love dance too and if you don't have so much space in your home i recomend you some exercises to strengthening the musculature like abs or elongations to maintain the elasticity <3

    I wish my family was involved in art like yours :c but my dad loves draw and my older brother too so they help me sometimes when i see them.

It is not safe to deliver your personal data to the Internet, because the fraudsters can use them to get your pin number and security information. In Chile, for example, there is no protection of personal data, not even laws and people have to learn by themselves. For me, I would never post my cell phone number on social media or my adress. Also, my family has a secret password in case of fraud or kidnapping. We are aware of the risk.

  Pinterest is an internet photo sharing and publishing service that allows users to "Pin" pictures they like and upload their own recommendations to their "pinboards". Users can visit other pinboards, 're-pin' images to their own pinboards, or 'like' photos. I personally use it because I find many photos that I can use as inspiration for my career work, theater design. It is as simple as making a board with the name of the play I am working on, and adding photos of the different elements in which I want to be inspired (costumes, makeup, lights, colors). I usually look for photos of haute couture clothes, to guide me to the textures and colors in the works that I design. I also use it as inspiration for the style of my drawings, with which I can explain my ideas to the teachers, so I would say that I use this application every day or almost every day, checking if there is something that I can add to my next project.

Theatrical Desing change the world

I have the idea that you can change the world with education. With education you can demostrate and teach about different topic, for example, why is violence wrong, how to take care of the environment, or universal history.  Theatrical Design can transform space and transport you.  Personally, i see myself educating children with my work. Nothing fills my heart more than thinking that I can contribute to their growth with my designs in a ballet, an opera, a play or even a concert. I feel that we as theater designers have a responsibility to send a message with our work. In addition, our benefit to the world is that in theater design we always use recycled materials for our works, thinking about the environment and what is most economical for us, so our designs do not leave a negative effect over the years, only experience and education for all people.
